Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and city tour
When you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our Kenya Safari experienced driver guide receives and explains the Kenya safari details, then drives you to your hotel. Once you finish check-in, you will start your Nairobi sightseeing journey, which includes stops at Kenyatta International Convention Centre for its marvellous city views as well as Uhuru Park and the Parliament building. After discovering local markets, you will return to the hotel to enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Nairobi National Park and David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
Early morning pick-up to explore Nairobi National Park and witness its wildlife before sunrise. At this location, you can spot lions, giraffes, buffalo, rhinos and other animals, with many different bird species. You will go to observe baby elephants getting their feed at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and watch them enjoy mud at playtime. You will return to the hotel after your Kenya tour experiences to spend the day resting and enjoy dinner before sleeping.
Day 3: Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum, and Kazuri Beads Factory
During morning hours, after your breakfast, you will go to the Giraffe Centre to see and feed the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes while learning about their protection. You will visit the Karen Blixen Museum to explore the former home of ‘Out of Africa’ during your exploration of the colonial past in Kenya’s history. During afternoon hours, you will experience how local women create ceramic jewellery at Kazuri Beads Factory. You will come back to your hotel to eat dinner and spend the night after doing this.
Day 4: Explore both the Bomas of Kenya cultural venue and the Nairobi National Museum.
You will begin your tour day by attending Bomas of Kenya where you can see how different Kenyan tribes live traditionally. Listen to tribal performances while seeing living displays of Kenyan tribes at their home areas. You will go to Nairobi National Museum after eating lunch to view Kenya’s wildlife and historical displays. Before retiring for the night at your hotel you will observe the animals at Snake Park and then continue.
Day 5: Cultural experience with the Maasai community
The day contains all cultural events and experiences organised for you with the Maasai people. You will visit a Maasai village to meet local people and observe their lifestyle through traditional dances, plus inspect the manyattas that serve as their homes. You will gain knowledge about their traditional craft of beadwork, alongside understanding their ways of handling livestock and treating illnesses with herbs. Following the cultural visit, you will resume your stay in Nairobi for dinner and rest.
Day 6: Shopping at Maasai Market and departure
Early in the day, you will go to the Maasai Market to shop for unique handmade items after breakfast. On leaving your hotel, you will take your ride to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to complete your 6 Days Nairobi City and Cultural Safari.
